The What

Our program collaborates with the Ministry for Primary Industries, local community leaders, and various organizations to organize informative introduction and information supper events. These events serve as an opportunity for us to gain insights into the current issues in your local community and the labour market challenges you face first-hand.

We can assist you in answering any questions you may have about employing diverse individuals with additional barriers, and provide support to those seeking sustainable jobs. Our focus is on providing job-ready, motivated, and focused individuals who are valuable assets to employers and our partners, resulting in successful long-term employment outcomes.

We prioritize addressing regional labour shortages while catering to young people, under-employed individuals, and older community members who are seeking positive change.

The How

We launched the program with community supper events that gathered feedback and challenges. Then, we addressed these by delivering specifically focused community recruitment, skill development and support programs.

These are targeted at engaging, supporting, and partnering with local community organisations, stakeholders, Schools, Iwi and Pacifica groups already doing such fantastic work in the community.

We can ‘work as one’ (Mahia Kotahi) to support people in programs to foster direct employment success based on local needs.

Together we find, support, and bring together individuals in the community who are under-or unemployed or youth who require a little added help to be successful.

Although an inclusive community program where everyone can participate regardless of background, there is a particular focus on providing proven support to youth, the elder workforce, employment, and retention of people dealing with any barriers to entering the workforce. These barriers include anxiety, confidence, mental health, learning barriers or long-term managed health conditions.
